Արմավիր հուշարձանի երկարամյա ուսումնասիրության ընթացքում կուտակված տարբեր դարաշրջանների նյութերը հնարավորություն են ընձեռում հետազոտելու փաստագրված յուրաքանչյուր դարաշրջանի մշակութային ժառանգությունը:

2016–2020 թթ. համար նախատեսված թեման կատարվելու է նախկինում բացահայտված նյութերի և նորագույն գտածոների, ինչպես նաև վերջին տարիների պեղումների շնորհիվ կատարված որոշակի շերտագրական ճշգրտումների ու աղբյուրագիտական հաղորդումների համալիր ընդգրկմամբ։

Վեր են հանվելու քաղաքային կյանքի զարգացման երկարատև ուղի անցած Անտիկ Արմավիրի վարչական, տնտեսական, պաշտամունքային, մշակույթային բնութագրերը:

Քննվելու է Արմավիրի՝ ավանդական պաշտամունքային կենտրոնի և առաջին ազգային պետության մայրաքաղաքի մշակութային կերպարը նշված ժամանակագրական սահմաններում, բարձրացվելու է նրա ներդրումը Հայաստանում քաղաքային մշակույթի ձևավորման խնդրում:
