Դասախոսությունը կներկայացնի Վրաստանի Շիդա Քարթլի մարզում իրականացվող վրաց-իտալական համատեղ հնագիտական ծրագրի արդյունքները՝ Առաջավոր Ասիա-Հարավային Կովկաս հնագույն փոխհարաբերությունների համատեքստում: Մասնավորապես Արադետիս Օրգորայում և Խաշուրի Նացագորայում իրականացվող վերջին պեղումների արդյունքնեը հնարավորություն են ստեղծում լրացնելու տեղական հասարակությունների զարգացման մասին առկա պատկերացումները՝ վաղ բրոնզից մինչև միջին և ուշ բրոնզի դարեր ընկած ժամանակահատվածում: Հատկապես կարևոր տվյալներ են ի հայտ եկել կուր-արաքսյան մշակույթի վերաբերյալ:

Ելենա Ռովան առաջավորասիական հնագիտության պրոֆեսոր է Վենետիկի Ca' Foscari համալսարանում: Նրա հետազոտությունների կիզակետում Առաջավոր Ասիայի հնագույն քաղաքակրթություններն են ուշ էնեոլիթի և բրոնզի դարերի ընթացքում (Ք.ա. IV-II հազ.)՝ հատկապես Հյուսիսային Միջագետք-Հարավային Կովկաս փոխհարաբերությունների համատեքստում: Նա դաշտային հետազոտություններ է իրականացրել Հյուսիսային Իրաքում (Թել Կարանա), Սիրիայում (Թել Լեյլան, Թել Բեյդար) և, սկսած 2009 թ., Վրաստանում (Նացարգորա, Օխերախեվի, Արադետիս Օրգորա):
